The musical ensemble «BIS-QUIT» was formed in 2002 by students of the Saint-Petersburg musical college named after N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov.A group of young musicians decided to blend the sound of russian folk instruments with that of the saxophone. And now the group has proved that is nothing impossible for them in the realm of music.

Through years of work and perfomance the group’s repertoire has acquired works of different genres and styles:
Classical, jazz, country, tango, latin and of course russian folk music. All arangements are made by the group’s leader Andrew Antipov.

From 2002-2006 with support of ELBA GROUP company, «MELODY» recording studio and the «EURO-shows» company the ensemble has released four alboms of different genres:

Russian Folk Music, Popular World Music, Jazz and the Golden Collection of the «BIS-QUIT» ensemble. Throughout this time , the «BIS-QUIT» ensemble has managed to master practically all known musical genres.

The group currently enjoys great popularity and is widely in demand.
Concert-programme Grand Gala «BIS-QUIT!-Show» held in three parts:

1st part – «Popular world classics» ( G.Rossini, A.Borodin, W.A.Mozart, G.Sviridov, J.Strauss, M.P.Mussorgsky, S.V.Rahmaninov, G.Verdi and others).

2nd part – «Morden music and popular - jazz singer» ( jazz (J.Gershwin), pop (Sting), tango (A.Piazzolla), latin (C.Jobim), country, avant-garde and others).

3rd part – «Russian Folk - Show»(composed of a set of a brilliant vocal, instrumental, dance, theatrical-staged numbers in morden arrangement, which are neatly and smoothly linked togerther).

Naturally in view of these unbelievable musical transformations, the group has developed close personal and professional relations with soloist of the academy of young singers and with ballet masters of the St.Petersburg Mariinsky Theatre, popular jazz performers and chanson, with laureates of ball dances, with various performers of ethnical music and with many other representatives of culture and art. Also, the wonderful artistic duet-ensemble «BIS-QUIT»,St.Petersburg and the mixed choir of the Norwegian city of Nordfjordeid has been established.

So far the ensemble has given 1500 concert and corporate performances in different places within our city, having generated a noticeable resonance in CMI.
It also participated in the opening of the folklor festival in Norway in 2006.

The mastery, talant, melodic taste and professionalism of «BIS-QUIT» leaves an unforgettable impresion on listners of the most elite concert halls in Russia and abroad.

Laureat of Russian and International Contests. Graduate from the Saint-Petersburg musical college named after N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov and St.Petersburg State Conservatory named after N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov. Artist of various musical group in St.Petersburg.

Percussion – Vladimir Maslov
Laureat of Russian and International Contests. Graduate from the Saint-Petersburg musical college named after N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov and St.Petersburg State Conservatory named after N.A.Rimsky-Korsakov. Concertmaster of the « Bolshoi Saint-Petersburg State Conservatory Theatre Symphony Orchestra.

Saxophone – Alexey Strelko
Laureat of Russian and International Contests. Graduate from the Harkovsky University of Arts named after Kot Yarovsky. Soloist of the Zaporozhskaya State Philarmoniya Symphony Orchestra. Artist of various popular-jazz groups.
